Who we are?

We are students, professors and employees of many universities in Brazil who have answered, in a renewed way, to the increasing challenges offered to the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church, such as the evangelization in the Universities (Cf. doc/94 - Vatican).

Where did we come from?

We are fruit of the experience of the Holy Spirit's effusion in our lives and also of a deep reflection from the beginning of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR), born in the University of Duquesne/USA. You can see details of this history in the book As by a New Pentescost: the dramatic beginning of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, by Patti Gallagher Mansfield, USA. This book is a highly recommended reading for all the ones who wish to know it better.

Where we are?

In a place where knowledge is transmitted, thesis on free sex are defended, abortion and drugs are debated. In a place where the world's greatest political, economic and social leaders are risen up. A place where the ideas of duplication of genes for beneficial ends, the discovery of chemical products that had improved the production of foods and more healthy foods also appeared.

Therefore, a place where the announcement of the Word of God becomes essential, so that those discoveries will be used for the better of mankind, taking us to love our next one, as Jesus loves us!

How we are?

Currently, we are 638 University Prayer Groups (UPGs) in almost all of the Brazilian states, developing lots of activities such as: junior students christian welcomes, special praying days, praying experiences, missionary and solidarity works, amongst others.

Professionals of the Kingdom

We believe that the construction of a fairest society and fraternal one will only be possible when new men, formed to the light of the Gospel and purified by the power of the Holy Spirit, assume their places in society. And those men, in its majority, pass by the universities. Therefore, it has been presented us by the Catholic Church the challenge of the evangelization in the universities.

The Dream

We gave you strict orders (did we not?) to stop teaching in that name. Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and want to bring this mans blood upon us. Acts 5, 28

This Bible verse shows that Jerusalem was covered by God's doctrine, exactly ahead of the difficulties and persecutions suffered by Christians of that time (approximately 50 years aD);

It was reflecting all this, that appeared the dream: to see our universities renewed by the Holy Spirit and, and as a consequence, renewing our society.

"We need to become trees with roots in God, supported by Christ and moved by the sap of the Holy Spirit. Just like it, we will produce concrete fruits."
